acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion of needles through the skin to achieve a specific therapeutic outcome. Sometimes a systemic reaction occurs and in addition to localised pain, there may be temporary fatigue, dizziness, sleepiness, and a catharsis of emotion that resolves within a few days.  Usually, this is a good sign of therapeutic response. Some people respond better to Acupuncture than others. Often in our experience, it may take a couple of sessions to be sure that the correct points were used. Sometimes, pains can migrate in the case of something like shoulder pain, and more treatment may be necessary. Often you should see a response within 2 sessions, and if not, we will let you know that you may be better served at another location by another provider. Overall, acupuncture is natural, safe, and effective as an option as an alternative to many analgesics or in addition to conventional healthcare.
